Fire-King is a collectible brand of glassware manufactured by the Anchor-Hocking Glass Company of Lancaster, Ohio. Jadite or Jade-ite is the popular milky-green color of this vintage brand of glassware which is similar to Pyrex and marketed as Ovenware. The most common Jadite products being cups, mugs, plates, dishes and bowls.
Martha Stewart used Fire-King Jadite on her TV show which no doubt increased demand for this vintage glassware. One of the most popular styles among some collectors today is the simple, thicker, durable style of Fire-King Jadite called ‘Restaurant Ware’ which was often used in diners, cafeterias, hospitals, schools and hotels in the 40′s, 50′s and 60′s.
We hope that this website will help you find the style of Fire King Jadite that is to your liking, whether you are just starting or completing your collection. Enjoy.
